Plot

After Sophie is swept off her feet by the mysteries wizard Howl, she is approached by the Witch of the West at her family's hat shop. Before she knows it the witch puts a curse on her turning her old, all because she is intimidated by the bond between them. Sophie becomes the house maid in Howls moving castle along with the Witch of the West, while living with Howl she learns of the burden he carries.
When a war breaks out Howl is called to Duty for the one of the Kings, but doesn't go. For not joining in the fight he is now being hunted by both sides causing him to move his castle to avoid being caught. The war hits their home town causing Howl to change form into a bird like creature to try and stop the war. When Howl returns to Sophie he is on the brink of death, can she save him and break the spell on them all?
