Gwendal with Conrad has gone off to his favorite demon protected human village because it is being raided by a nearby demon-hating human village and is placed in a strategic location along the borders of the kingdom. Wolfram, Yuri and 4 members of Wolfram's private army who have extraordinary magic skills follow Gwendal despite not telling Günter that they were going.
Meanwhile back at the castle Günter is searching for Yuri and can't find him anywhere while the three maids' gossip about Wolfram having probably snapped because of his mother and Yuri.
Back with Wolfram Yuri finds out a bony has been watching him following him with its non-existent eyes. They come upon the endangered village only to find it in flames. While they're distracted wondering about why Gwendal hasn't put out the flames Adelbert and two henchmen ride up springing a trap set for them. When Yuri notices that the others can't move Adelbert explains that he set a containment trap for magic users knowing that Wolfram wouldn't think to bring any non-magical troops when rushing for the city. Adelbert notices that Yuri is riding with Wolfram and when he comments on his older brother Yuri asks how he knew about Conrad and Gwendal.
Adelbert tells him that he was once a member of the demon tribe and that he now despises the demon tribe. He says that he's come to rescue Yuri like he promised in episode 1 and that Yuri was only set up as King to be a fall guy that the humans could hate. Wolfram tells Yuri even though it hurts to talk that Adelbert is a traitor to the demon tribe and that he's only trying to get Yuri on his side. Adelbert aims his sword at the immobile Wolfram and tells him how he convinced humans who were starving that they needed to attack and burn down this city to get food for themselves. When Yuri asks how humans could attack other humans Adelbert tells him that they're not attacking other humans just a city under the protection of the demon tribe. He says that any city that can ally itself with the demon tribe is no longer considered human.
Adelbert asks Yuri to come with him and Yuri accepts only after spurring Wolfram's horse to get it and the others to take off. When Yuri refuses to join Adelbert's side Adelbert tries to kill him and get him out of the way. Adelbert raises his sword to attack Yuri and the bony that had been following Yuri flies in to take the blow for Yuri. When Adelbert says the bony he killed was only an odd bird Yuri takes offence and tells him that he can never forgive what he said. Yuri tells Adelbert to shut up when he says that Yuri has sided with a tribe, the bone tribe, which has no will of its own. Just as Adelbert is about to kill Yuri Conrad and saves him. Adelbert and his cronies run off but not before he swears to Yuri that they will meet again.
After Wolfram shows up unharmed Yuri asks how Conrad was able to find him. Conrad tells him that a bony tribesman was with his army and heard the cry of a fellow bird in trouble through the special means of communication that the bony tribe shares. When Yuri tries to bury the bony who saved him Conrad tells him that the bony is still alive and that if you put all of the pieces back together he can fly again.
Yuri and Wolfram make it to the city to find it still in flames and a camp full of wounded ally and enemy soldiers. Yuri offers to help with the wounded and Gisela who is a nurse there says she can't accept his help. And to drive the point home an enemy soldier lying near by refuses to be treated by a demon tribe member and repeats Adelbert's earlier ideas about the humans of the city not being human.
Yuri understands how the demons and humans could have trouble living together peaceably but can't understand how other humans could attack a city full of humans. Conrad tries to help him by asking about wars between humans on earth. Gwendal brings an enemy human who 1st started the fires who confessed that Adelbert instigated the attack of the city and that they had a fire wizard among them explaining why the flames were so intense. When Gwendal asks why Yuri hasn't put out the fire with his water ability we find out that Yuri doesn't remember anything about when he changed into the demon king. Wolfram passes off Yuri's magic as a glorified miracle and Gwendal asks that Yuri not get in the way if he can't help.
Gwendal brings the enemy human to face the remaining townspeople and tells them to kill him or do whatever they like with him. Yuri says there has to be another way to punish him besides executing him and he runs over to stand between the townspeople and criminal. Gwendal tells Yuri that he knows what happened earlier in the healers' tent and Yuri responds by telling him that he should be trying to put out the fire instead of just standing here. Conrad then explains to Yuri that Gwendal's magic is earth magic and that he could heap piles of dirt to stop the fire but it would make the ground to unstable and destroy the forest. Conrad says they'll just have to wait for the water wizard to get there and put out the fire.
Wolfram asks Gwendal if they could use this attack as justification for a war with the humans and Gwendal tells him they could use it as part of one. As they continue to discuss the best way to use this to start a war Yuri gets angry and starts yelling at them not to start a war. Yuri tells Conrad that yes there are wars between humans on earth but they always try to stop them as soon as possible. He says that in their hearts they are always searching for peace and says that all that Wolfram and Gwendal are doing is looking for a way to get into a war. Gwendal yells at Yuri calling him a foreigner and saying that he doesn't intend to become king so it's his job to take care of the demon kingdom. Gwendal's remarks lead Yuri to state that he will become the demon king and change how things are done in this country.
When the fire destroys a building in the city the enemy human uses the distraction to break free of his guards and hold Yuri as hostage. He demands a horse and Gwendal gives him his horse. While Yuri is trying to get on the horse a young boy tackles the criminals ankles and Yuri is bucked from the horses back right into Gwendal's arms. When Yuri asks what happened Gwendal tells him that he knew Yuri and the criminal could never ride his stallion.
The criminal is taken away and Yuri runs over to the young boy who hit hard when he took down the criminal. Yuri yells for someone to get Gisela. The boy wakes up and asks if Yuri is going to protect everyone from now on and Yuri promises him that he will. The little boy asks if Yuri could teach him baseball because he's been playing catch with Conrad and wants to learn more. Yuri starts crying and when he yells out with the pain clouds roll in and it starts to rain putting the fire out.
Back at the castle the great bell is ringing and everyone's assembled in the great hall to witness King Yuri's coronation. In order for it to be official Yuri must place his hand in a fountain of water coming down from a stone lion's mouth. Cecile is standing next to the great fountain when Yuri places his arm into the water. While Yuri is wondering why he agreed to be king something starts pulling him into the water. Conrad and Günter rush up to help Yuri even though the top half of his body is already in the water. When Günter grabs onto his belt it comes loose and Yuri gets pulled all the way through the water.
Yuri wakes up to find he's back in his own world with Ken Murata and a police officer leaning over him while his pants are open. As it turns out Ken just ran away in episode one in order to bring the police. Yuri thinks that it is all a dream until he finds gold bands on his shoulder that he was wearing in the other world. He also discovers after Ken points it out that he still wearing a black g-string.
