We find ourselves on earth in Yuri's bedroom watching as he finishes buttoning the last few buttons on his baseball uniform. Before he leaves he grabs the necklace Conrad gave to him and reminisces about his foray in the demon kingdom. Downstairs at breakfast he learns that his brother is still asleep after a night of college partying and that his dad is out playing golf with some of his clients. Apparently in this world demons go golfing with their clients just like regular humans. While he's busy trying to decide if his mom's teddy bears and teacup are related at all to magic and fantasy Miko, Yuri's mom, tells Yuri that they need to talk about something. After telling him that she's ok with baseball distracting him from his studies Miko holds up Yuri's black g-string and says she thinks it's too small for him to be wearing. After Miko explains that she found it while vacuuming under his bed Yuri tells her he's just "examining it" and that it's not his style anyway.
The provisional manager of amateur baseball Ken Murata shows up to collect his captain, Yuri, saving him from any further discussion about the g-string. After Yuri runs off with Ken, Miko wonders if Yuri will be able to become a good king with his impatient temperament. She looks over at a picture of her and her husband Shoma Shibuya and takes us back to their first date in a coffee house 20 years before.
In the small café Miko and Shoma sat across from each other each with a cup of coffee. Miko mentions how starving she is and Shoma says he only has enough to pay for coffee. Shoma tells her that ever since he saw her at a party he's wanted to tell her that he was from the demon tribe. Miko somehow gets a picture of a chibi-demon with cute little black wings in her head and asks where his wings went. By now he's wondering why she hasn't run screaming from the place and suspects that that's why he's attracted to her. Now though Miko starts thinking that maybe he should have fluffy white angel wings and how any children he has would be so adorable with those wings! She tells Shoma to let her know when he has children but she worries that his wife might have a problem with that. Shoma tells her there's only one solution that they get married! Miko agrees but only if he's gutsy enough to propose on the 5th date!
Skip to a few years later and we see little Shouri Shibuya, Yuri's older brother, cute but wingless in his crib. Miko is disappointed that he has no wings but says he has the face of an angel. Shoma remarks on how looking at little Shouri proves that there's very little difference between the humans and demons. Now Shoma has to run off to meet Bob the demon king of this world. Miko thinks that Bob must sit around on his throne in a big castle but Shoma informs her that he travels around instead.
At the meeting with Bob Shoma is introduced to a depressed looking Conrad. Bob tells him that Conrad is here from another world on a special mission of guarding the soul of the next demon king of Conrad's world. Bob says that Conrad has come to give Shoma's son his demon kings soul.
Now were on a street side with Miko while she's trying to get a taxi and having contractions. She's unable to get one and about to use her feminine wiles when Conrad shows up to share his taxi with her. It was good that a smiling Conrad was there because Miko confused the name of the hospital she needed to get to. Miko is worried that she'll give birth in the cab but Conrad reassures her by telling her he was there for his brothers' birth. Miko notices his fencing bag and asks him if he fences. Conrad tells her that he fences quite a bit which leads her to tell him about her college days when she was called Jen Fen because she was so into fencing. She has another contraction and shortly after that Conrad tells her about July being Yuri in his world.
At the hospital little Yuri is born and is unfortunately wingless. When Miko is disappointed Shoma tells her that he's never seen any of his fellow demons have wings and that they should be grateful to just have a healthy baby and focus on selecting a name for him. That's when Miko tells him that the babies name is going to be Yuri and that's final! She tells him how a stranger in her cab told her in means July and how it would have fit a heroic angel which is why she's so disappointed that he doesn't have any wings. Shoma asks, while cringing if the guy in the cab was kind of gloomy looking. Miko tells him that he was gorgeous, charming, considerate and how he came to her aid like a prince. Shoma seems surprised at this and says it's too bad he didn't stick around to see Yuri born and wonders why he didn't. Miko tells him that she saw stars dancing around her head when she heard the name Yuri.
Back in the present time Miko is looking through a photo album of Yuri and reminiscing about how she used to dress him up in dresses and brush his ling hair. In the pictures we see of Yuri when he's very little he looks just like a little girl and then as he gets older he's wearing baseball uniforms with short hair. In the final picture we see Yuri dressed like an angel with short hair and Miko asks what happened to her little angel.
Meanwhile Yuri is about to swing at a pitch when he sneezes and misses the ball. After practice Yuri and Ken are sitting in the communal bath just soaking their tired muscles and talking about when Yuri was still in baseball when he was younger. Yuri apologizes for making Ken do chores for the baseball team and Ken says it's no problem because he wanted to thank him for rescuing him the other day.
Ken gets out of the bath to take a shower and the water in the bath starts spinning around Yuri. Yuri tries to get out but is pulled backwards into the spinning water and is yelling like crazy until he swirls all the way down the drain with the last thing going through being his hand. Ken doesn't notice anything going on while he's singing to himself in the shower.
And so Yuri finds himself once again flushed into this other world except this time in a communal bath and he's naked! He sees three figures in the distance through the mist and assumes they're girls. When they notice him he tries to explain that it was an accident that he winded up in this bath. When the "girls" recognize him as the king two of them come running at him and we see they are in fact men. They pounce on the helpless Yuri asking if there's anything they could do for him. The third guy just stands there watching until Günter runs in to "save" Yuri from the male mauling.
When Günter announces who he is the two guys are amazed at seeing the greatest beauty in the land and pounce on him instead. While they're distracted with Günter Conrad is able to come in and help Yuri get to his feet again. After Conrad calls Yuri his majesty Yuri reminds him that he doesn't need to be so formal since he is his godfather. When Yuri asks if they should go rescue Günter Conrad tells him it was a noble sacrifice and that he was happy to make it. Yuri agrees and promises his noble sacrifice won't be forgotten.
Yuri gets an outfit that looks almost exactly like his school uniform and fits even better because Günter, who comes in looking bedraggled, studied his uniform that last time he was here. When Yuri has a feeling that he's not in the demon kings castle he finds out he right when Günter and Conrad tell him that they're in the Voltaire castle in the eastern corner of the demon kingdom.
After learning he's in Gwendal's castle Günter takes Yuri to a desk piled with papers for him to sign. When Yuri asks Günter to just sign them for him Günter refuses and says that he's only guiding him now because he lacks experience and that eventually Yuri will be running all this on his own. Günter tells him to be prepared to declare war because the humans have been getting more aggressive in their activities lately. Yuri refuses to go to war even if they start it and he asks for Günter to be more specific about their activities.
That's when Gwendal comes in and tells Yuri that the humans have been spending lots of money hiring esoteric skill handlers. Humans need the magical in order to wage war with the demon tribe. After Gwendal tells him about the humans he says that he hadn't given Yuri permission to make himself at home in his castle. Then Wolfram comes in yells at Yuri for disappearing in the middle of his coronation ceremony.
Gwendal opens up a map in front of Günter and explains that according to his information network Cavalcade is the one buying up magicians but to the ordinary eye it looked like Sonderguard was doing it. Conrad breaks in to remind Gwendal and Günter that they should be reporting all this to Yuri. Gwendal says he believes children like Yuri should mind their own business. Yuri gets angry and tells Gwendal that his business is just pushing the country into conflict and that he doesn't intend to let it happen.
When Gwendal demands to know what Yuri would do he tells him that he wants to talk with them, that there might just be some misunderstanding. And then he tells Gwendal that even if he has already talked with them that they probably wouldn't listen when he's as arrogant as he is. This prompts laughter from Conrad and Gwendal's hands start twitching while he's saying that Yuri must just be cranky today. Gwendal says maybe he needs a little nap ands starts walking off when Yuri tells him to wait and runs after him. Just as Gwendal reaches the door Anissina von Karbelnikoff shows up prompting a look of confusion from Yuri, who is being restrained by Günter and Wolfram, and a look of fear from Gwendal.
Anissina tells Gwendal that's she's invented a new magical device and that she need him to help her test it. Anissina is formally introduced to Yuri and Conrad explains that she's been Gwendal's friend since childhood. When Anissina says she has a way to prevent the war by keeping the humans from coming over here she reveals her newest creation the magical ventilator. The Magical ventilator is supposed to create a wind so strong that the humans can't possibly come near the demon kingdom. Unfortunately after much effort from Günter all that emerges is a slight but pleasant breeze. So Anissina brings out her earth quake generator which is supposed to create huge tremors just by jumping on it. Yuri asks if Anissina's inventions are always like that and Conrad tells him that they are and that Gwendal is almost always the guinea pig.
Yuri with Conrad's help comes to the conclusion that he should seek advice from the people who are around him who deserve respect and in so doing earn their respect. He goes to Gwendal in his study and asks his opinion about the best way not to have to go to war. Gwendal has a plan to crush the humans desire to fight with the Demons. He has Günter explain that there is a special sword that can only be touched by the true demon king and is rumored to be able once activated to burn to the ends of the world. If they had this sword than maybe the humans would be too scared of its power to try anything. It's known as the ultimate weapon Morgif and has been lost since the demon king 8 generations before put in into motion one final time.
Günter tells Yuri that the sword is in the Vondivia islands in Cimarion territory in a cave beneath the ground. Günter thinks it is too dangerous for Yuri to go but they can't retrieve the sword with anyone else. Yuri volunteers to go despite the danger and thinks that this sword is a holy sword like the ones he found in video games. Wolfram informs him that it's not a holy sword and the rest tell him that it is in fact a Demon Sword!
