Yuri Shibuya thought he was just a 15-year old boy who loved baseball and had weird parents. But when he was flushed down the toilet after receiving a swirlie from some bullies Yuri finds himself in a land filled with magic and medieval castles. He learns quickly that the locals of the area don't much care for him when they start pelting him with rotten fruit. Luckily Conrad Weller shows up to save him and he is brought to the Demon Kings castle. As it turns out in this world black hair and eyes automatically makes Yuri the Demon King!

The former Demon Kings child Wolfram winds up in an engagement with Yuri. Both of them are less than pleased with the situation and their bickering leads to a sword duel. Yuri finds out that in this world the demons and the humans are at war which leads him to go in search of a sword that will bring peace to the realm. Once the sword is found Yuri realizes that the sword is a bad solution and vows to find a good solution. Unfortunately while trying to bring peace to the world he is sucked back and forth between the worlds randomly when he falls in water.

Yuri usually gets sucked back into the Demon world at odd times when there is a crisis or situation that only the Demon King can handle. Over the course of the series Yuri is flushed back into the Demon world many times and learns more about both himself and the world as he goes along.

Yuri Shibuya

Demon King, baseball fanatic, and pacifist Yuri Shibuya was born in Tokyo, Japan. He's an avid lover of peace named for his birth month of July, Yuri was born to Miko (mother) and Shoma (father) Shibuya.

Conrad Weller

Godfather and commander the half-demon Conrad Weller was born in the Great Demon Kingdom. He is devoted to his godson Yuri, the current demon king, and still remains an above average sword fighter.

Günter von Christ

Esteemed swordsman and councilor Günter von Christ can often be found trying to instruct King Yuri on the ways of ruling a kingdom.

Episode 1: Flushed to a Different World

When Yuri Shibuya is given a swirlie and is sucked down the toilet into another world he is given the title of Demon King. He ends up getting into a fight with the child of the previous demon king, which ends in an engagement. And after mistakenly picking up a knife thrown down by that same child he is forced to into a duel.

Episode 2: Duel Hot Boy vs. Baseball Boy

Yuri duels with the child of the previous Demon King at first in a sumo match and later in a sword fight. When the child accidentally hits a maid with a fire attack Yuri becomes angry and becomes a different person. What will Yuri do in this other form and how will he become himself again? Why would we want him to change back?

Episode 3: Yuri Shibuya! I am the Demon King!

Bonies are hit with vicious sword thrusts, traitors are made known, a village is burning, and Gwendal is still frowning! Will the village be saved? Can Yuri accept his role as Demon King? Will Yuri be able to ride Gwendal's Stallion and will Gwendal smile if he does? Will Günter ever figure out where Yuri and Wolfram went? All these questions and more answered on this episode of Kyo Kara Maoh!

Episode 4: What's next? The ultimate weapon!?

Back in Yuri's worlds everything is hunky dory, except for Miko finding Yuri's black g-string! Miko reminisces and has flashbacks about how she met Yuri's father and how even though he was wingless she still married him. Yuri is flushed again to The Demon Kingdom where he argues with Gwendal and finally decides to go find a special sword named "Morgif."
